After Dark by Haruki Murakami

My review
rating: 4 of 5 stars
A quiet book, with specks of psychological infidelities, with everything that might happen in the darkness, one night in Tokyo. Murakami’s style is obvious, though simpler, in a way lighter but with a significant array of descriptions of places and feelings. A possible study of [...]

Dance, Dance, Dance by Haruki Murakami

My review
rating: 5 of 5 stars
A birlliant search for identity, of a lost past and of a real present. The author invariably and unmistakeably creates worlds in order to explain reality in the view of one man who has kept losing maybe too much. The novel is as much [...]

A week of meetings

“We know you’re tired, tired and scared. Happens to everyone, okay? Just don’t let your feet stop.” Murakami
I’m not scared, I’m just saying that tiredness might make people scared. So for this reason I’m sleeping more ^_^ This week has been full of meetings and early morning wake-ups. I haven’t been very structured, but with [...]

I’m reading now Dance, Dance, Dance by Haruki Murakami. I was in the library enjoying my book with a cup of latte and a Danish cookie, while outside snow was falling in waves of wander. I couldn’t help thinking about the discovery within, a novel reflecting so much about personal discovery leading in the end [...]

The movie is seen from the perspective of one young man’s life, a man who in reality was not whiny, but just alone. There was no Tuk in reality. Danish pastries [...]

The Bronte Project by Jennifer Vandever

My review
rating: 3 of 5 stars
A sensitive book regarding love and love affairs with a particular focus on the Bronte-Diana stories. A parallel to modern life and to the hardships of romantics nowadays. I liked the book, though at times it was a lot of blabla. Nonetheless I found [...]

I did buy myself a pot of flowers today, to bring more sunshine into my room! And the lovely delicate flowers match my bed cover and atmosphere too! It just happened that today is Valentine’s Day as well. Of course I would have liked to actually receive a bunch of flowers from someone, but I [...]

Friday night, after a delicious dinner with my brother somewhere in Copenhagen, we went out to meet Adhunika, Rob and other aiesecers downtown. We got to the Sportspub and had a great time, with shots and beer (the usual), funny discussions by tipsy characters too.

Snowy morning

Woke up early morning to the sound of the tiny machines brooming away the snow. There was a blanket of white fluff all around Amager. Like in a dream, and yet real. It wasn’t incredibly beautiful, but just simply nice. White and clean. Not even shiny. :)
