The lovely sun was shining with teeth (meaning that it was not necessarily warming up anything), but lighting up the buildings and tiny park in front of the National Theatre in Bucharest. We were going to meet with Cristiana (Crissie-bee) at the Operetta, for a special Da Vinci exhibition. Reasons to become cultural ^_^

After the drinks in the Cupola we took a walk on the pedestrian street (with blinding lights) and then through the park, Sebi taking photos of us fooling around like kids ^_^ Feeling free and crazy, still not entirely believing that kedvesem is really in my hometown!

Balázs my boyfriend arrived this morning! I am so happy and it feels again like a fairytale, us together in Romania for the first time. We had to meet with Sabina (best friend) so we got together for drinks in the Cupola, downtown Ploiesti.

… after about 6 years of sporadic chats, we got together in Corso (restaurant in Ploiesti) for a coffee this evening: six of us, all classmates in high-school (some also in junior high). We talked about each others’ stories and found out new things, extensively gossipped about the others from our old class and some [...]
on a line

Keeping my cool has become a skill. Calmness and a sense of wonder, surpressed at times, miraculously faded. Like clothes on a line, my to-do-list hangs somewhere. Like clothes on line my feelings are hanged by an amazing sense of restlessness, coupled with overwhelming joy and pouting classical expectation-like fever. There are many contradictions through [...]

…meaning yet another bunch of New Year resolutions, after a thorough consideration of what I’ve managed to achieve this year. It appears that I tend to become more realistic. But this should not stop me from dreaming and wishing more, aiming higher. I don’t particularly want to write my resolutions, even though it has become [...]
meet the parents

This shall be the topic of the following week. My boyfriend is coming to meet my parents for the first time. Being in a long-distance relationship, with me being away from home most of the time, makes it even more difficult for boyfriend-parents relations. Obviously! Soon however, this is going to change. He’s going to [...]

"repatriation" the dreaded word!

I’ve been reading on the Internations forum about different issues that expats face when going home. This one in particular seems serious and it made me think as well, of the time when I will go back too, back not for a few week-visit, but for good (I dunno in how many years from now).Gathering [...]

flying high above the clouds

My two flights were wonderful! After having checked my overweight suitcase ^_^ I only had to carry the 11kg backpack around the airports. High up above everything the clouds were shimmering, glowing of sunny diamonds and fluffy specs of white and soft gray. Amazing!
